E.R.W. Project was presented at a European Forum
From 9th till 11th October four representatives of the team of the project “Empowerment of Roma Women for Roma Children Education (ERW)” took part in the annual European Family Group Conference Network Meeting which was held in the capital of the Slovak Republic – Bratislava.
The European network for Family Group Conferencing was created in 2002 by a group of FGC practitioners who needed a platform for sharing knowledge, experiences and research of FGC in the European context. At present 25 organisations from 15 countries are members of the network. Every year, a network meeting is organised by one of the participating countries.
During the first day of the meeting each member country presented its report introducing the progress, achievements, needs and challenges since the last annual meeting. The report for Bulgaria was presented by Maria Petkova, Executive Director of Tulip Foundation.
On the second day the representatives of the ERW project partner organisations took part in open space workshops for discussing FGC issues and sharing experience with colleagues from other countries. During these discussions Malina Slavova, Project manager, presented the ERW project focusing on the Family group conferences as a successful model for empowerment of Roma women.
